Line Dance Blog # 2: by Jutta Wiemers

Continued from last time:
Line Dance Blog # 2:
2) Second move:
• North-South: …walking a small
figure S with a hand-change, danced with

expression!

Swing around the nose of your horse preserving
your big “bubble”! Change rope and whip hand
as you get to the other side. (See page 62,
figure 6c in the book) Keep counting your
eight-beat! Everybody follows the leader A
here… all hand-changes should happen in the
same spot (at the centre of the figure S).

3) Third move:
• West – East: After all three horses
performed the figure S, they all end up on a
straight line (W-E) – the leader must look
back to assure everybody has arrived! (We
are now leading right and still counting on
the eight-beat!).

Fix your distances while walking East!
When all are there (this usually takes 2 x 8
beats for three horses), the next 1-beat
everybody turns right 90 degrees
simultaneously (walk 8) and stops on the
centre line (now facing South).
On 8 you must already whip to the front of
the horse and …stop and praise while you
are still training, of course!!!

to be continued next time!
Keep your lines straight!
